Trapped In A Rumor Improv Presents:
Ding Dong! The Kids Are Gone
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their September show, Ding Dong! The Kids Are Gone, will go to the ARF: Animal Rescue Foundation!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! ARF saves dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters and brings people and animals together to enrich each others lives. ARF strives to create a world where every loving dog and cat has a home, where every lonely person has a companion animal, and where children learn to care.
ARF was created in 1991 by Tony and Elaine La Russa to address the needs of companion animals. Their vision for ARF is an organization that can not only aid abandoned and homeless animals, but also promote the concept that people's lives can be enhanced by strengthening the bonds between humans and animals. With these intertwined goals as the guiding principles, and an intention to become a national as well as local leader, ARF has designed progressive programs for many populations including abused children, the elderly, victims of violence and others who can benefit from the healing contact of animals.
ARF is growing to meet the demands of the 21st century with the first private adoption and education center in Contra Costa County, California. ARF will continue to respond to the immediate needs of animals who have been neglected, abused or deprived of love to ensure they find high quality homes. At the same time, ARF will embody the vision of a better future-one where animals are respected for the unique role they can and do play in making the world a better place for people to live and where there is a stable and loving home for every pet to complete its natural lifespan.

Eugene O'Neill Foundation
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their August show, Mental Vacation, will go to the Eugene O'Neill Foundation!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The mission of the Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House, is to celebrate and promote the vision and legacy of Eugene O'Neill, America's foremost playwright.
The Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House was established for the purpose of acquiring the house and developing the site into a center for performing arts and study. Scholars of the theatre agree that O'Neill can be ranked, along with Shakespeare and Shaw, as one of the three greatest playwrights in the English-speaking world. O'Neill received four Purlitzer Prizes for his work and is the only American playwright to have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
On October 19, 1976, President Gerald Ford signed SB 2398, calling for the establishment of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site into law. Tao House officially became the property of the federal government on June 12, 1980.
The enabling legislation stipulated that the National Park Service is responsible for operation, maintenance and public programs. The Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House is responsible for artistic and educational programs. The National Park Service's General Management Plan, signed into the Federal Register in 1991 describes the plans for the site: small scale theatrical performances, an artist in residence program, full public access, seminars and interpretive tours. Through the efforts of the Foundation, Tao House became a National Historic Site. The National Park Service has shown tremendous commitment to the project and has restored the house to its original design.

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their July show, Patriot Axe, will go to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The mission of the NOCC is to raise awareness and increase education about ovarian cancer. The Coalition is committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer.
More than 20,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 15,000 women die annually from the disease. If diagnosed and treated early, when the cancer is confined to the ovary, the five-year survival rate is over 90 percent. That is why it is imperative that the early signs and symptoms of the disease are recognized, not only by women, but also by their families and the medical community.
Through national programs and local Chapter initiatives, the NOCC's goal is to make more people aware of the early symptoms of ovarian cancer. In addition, the NOCC provides information to assist the newly diagnosed patient, to provide hope to survivors, and to support caregivers. |
